
This EU-funded project aims to help teachers across Europe gain the skills, tools, and confidence to use AI in the classroom—safely, ethically, and in ways that support learning.
What is the project aiming to do?
- Give both new and experienced teachers practical, hands-on AI skills
- Share teaching strategies that use AI in meaningful, effective ways
- Create training that is modular, inclusive, and flexible
- Build an online platform with AI resources for schools
- Connect teachers across Europe to exchange ideas and share what works
What are the activities involved in the project?
- Laying the groundwork – deciding the teaching approach and how AI fits in.
- Designing professional learning – creating bite-sized, flexible modules for both teacher training colleges and in-service professional learning.
- Building the platform – an online space with AI tools, guides, and resources.
- Facilitating training – offering sessions both online and in-person, with micro-learning options.
- Sharing and connecting – learning from schools across Europe and exchanging best practice.
How will Irish schools benefit ?
On completion and at different stages throughout the project schools will
- Gain access to ready-to-use AI training designed for the classroom
- Learn from real examples of how schools across Europe are using AI
- Enhance their digital skills
- Gain support through a dedicated online resource library

How to get involved
We will be looking for Irish schools to input to this project, taking part in training, trying out resources and sharing feedback and experiences.

The ACT-AI Academy directly supports the Digital Learning Framework by helping schools build teacher and leadership capacity in using digital technologies—specifically AI—in ways that enhance teaching, learning, and whole-school planning.
