Celebrating 20 Years of the FÍS Film Awards

On the 12th of February, the OIDE Technology in Education and IADT communities will celebrate a major milestone as the FÍS Film Awards mark their 20th year. For two decades, FÍS has showcased the creativity, technical skill and storytelling talent of primary students from across Ireland, while promoting the meaningful use of digital technologies in teaching and learning. The 20th anniversary awards ceremony will highlight outstanding student filmmaking, innovative classroom practice, and the continued impact of FÍS in supporting teachers to integrate film and digital media into their subjects.
The 20th Anniversary of the Annual FÍS Film Awards will take place on Thursday the 12th of February . FÍS is an innovative film project for primary schools that explores film and animation as a medium of expression. The FÍS film project was established in 2000 and culminates each year in an Oscars-type ceremony at the Helix in Dublin.
