UNESCO, in partnership with LG AI Research, has developed a new online course on the Ethics of AI, made available globally through Coursera.
The Global MOOC represents an important step in translating the UNESCO Recommendations on the Ethics of Artificial Intelligence, adopted by UNESCO’s 193 Member States in 2021, into practical knowledge and skills.
Designed for policymakers, researchers, students, public officials, entrepreneurs and other professionals working with AI, the course addresses practical issues including bias, risk assessment, human rights, human oversight, accountability, privacy, fairness, and safety. It is free, self-paced and accessible to learners worldwide, with a pathway to certification.
