Oide Technology in Education has compiled key additional resources and reading materials on the topic of AI in schools.
These resources are featured in our online course, AI for Schools, a short online course which is currently open for enrolment.
AI Literacy in the Classroom programme
This new programme developed by our colleagues in the Adapt Centre and supported by Google, is aimed at helping secondary school teachers enhance their understanding of artificial intelligence. It provides practical tools and resources to teach AI concepts and to use AI critically and responsibly.

Dream Space TV
Microsoft Dream Space TV’s brAIn_waves is a fully funded series on AI, with an upper primary and a post-primary series.
Dream Space TV: brAIn_waves for primary schools explores computational thinking, algorithms, data and how AI works at a basic level and includes hands-on lessons for students.
Dream Space TV: brAIn_waves for post-primary students aims to foster AI literacy and encourage creative and ethical thinking about its application.
AI on Scoilnet
The Scoilnet portal has put together a series of collections showcasing resources, shared by Irish teachers, that illustrate the ways in which generative Artificial Intelligence can be used in the post-primary classroom.
Scoilnet also has two learning paths created by primary school teachers that focus on practical guidance on how to use AI in education. Although they were created for the primary school teacher, they are equally relevant for the post-primary teacher who is trying to understand the concept for the first time.

Experience AI programme
Recently launched by Kinia, the ‘Experience AI’ programme, supported by Google Deep Mind and the Raspberry Pi Foundation, is a fully funded educational programme in AI for teachers and students.
