Blended Learning

Blended learning involves combining in-person teaching approaches with the use of online and digital resources, providing more flexibility to students in how they learn.
We have a series of supports for schools and principals on blended learning – where students learn both online and in a face-to-face scenario (also referred to as hybrid learning).

Primary specific supports
Blended Learning: Primary Overview YouTube video A 12-minute video that provides a suggested sequence to follow when engaging with the main Oide supports in the area (below).
Blended Learning: Oide Support Resource This is a comprehensive Google sub-site that explores the different forms of blended learning – flipped classroom model; enriched virtual model; and the rotation station model.
It also has sections on planning; reflection & evaluation; and the important area of copyright. Technical issues are also explored, including screencasting; online bookmarking; online conferencing; creating video; and recording demonstrations.
Post-Primary specific supports
