Ireland celebrates Safer Internet Day 2024

Over 200,000 children and young people around Ireland took part in activities to mark Safer Internet Day 2024! Students and schools hosted workshops, did lessons and presentations, wrote and performed plays, recorded podcasts and videos, ran poster competitions, and so much more! The #SID2024 theme was “Tech in Our World” which explored young people’s views on new and emerging technology, and the changes they would like to see online. A youth-led event on Safer Internet Day explored this theme and featured contributions from the Webwise Youth Advisory Panel, Ireland’s Online Safety Commissioner and many others.
