Video Overview
Staff at Coláiste Ghobnait, Inis Oírr, describe how they embed digital technology and AI into teaching and learning. It is a small post primary school with classes taught through the medium of Irish.
Description
The school started reviewing their approach to digital learning about three years ago when they applied for Oide Sustained School Support which provided them with training and advice. They describe how they use OneNote with 5th Year students to document their learning in digital portfolios after participating in the FADP project. They also discuss how they use Microsoft Sway and AI tools like Magic AI and Copilot to help create and translate content into Irish and make language easier to understand. They also use features such as Immersive Reader so that students can change how they read materials, which helps with complex Irish texts and accessibility. Students describe how they use technology to reflect on projects, add photos, and review their work.
