Using Tablets to support language learning (German)

The school use Notability as their note taking app which allows students to record audio, helping with pronunciation in language lessons. She discusses the use of Book Creator where her students can create their own presentations about chosen topics.

Description

German teacher uses technology in her first year class. Teacher uses Quizlet to make flashcards for the pupils and pupils are encouraged to make their own. Pupils engage in a speed snap game independantly, an overall class winner is chosen. Pupils use Notability to take notes. Photos and voice recordings can be added and shared with other pupils. Teacher uses BookCreator with class. Pupils design their own book about themselves and present it to the class. Teacher asks whole class questions on the book to ensure engagement. Teacher uses Socrative for formative assessment. Pupils are sent a quiz at the end of class and teacher uses the results to plan for next lesson.
