This course on Developing a Digital Learning Plan will help you to use the Digital Learning Framework to improve digital learning in your school, regardless of your stage on this journey.
It will step you through the process of creating a Digital Learning Plan that will support the effective use of digital technologies across all aspects of teaching and learning.
Please note that this a shortened version of the original ‘Developing a Digital Learning Plan for your School’ course. You will be guided through the process of creating a plan but there are no required in-school activities or assignments.
At the end of this course, you should be able to:
In this module, you will look at what digital learning looks like in the classroom and how a constructivist pedagogy which embeds digital technologies can offer new possibilities for learning, teaching and assessment. You will also be introduced to the Digital Learning Framework for Schools (DLF) and the Digital Learning Planning Guidelines (DL Planning Guidelines).
In this module, you will look at some of the key considerations in establishing a team to lead the planning process and for creating your school’s vision for digital learning. You will learn how to conduct a workshop with colleagues to help you to create a vision statement for digital learning.
In this module, you will examine how to use the Digital Learning Framework to determine the focus of your Digital Learning Plan. You will look at how to gather and analyse relevant evidence to help make informed decisions to enhance digital learning practices in your school.
In this module, you will look at how to set specific targets and determine actions that need to be taken to achieve them and improve digital learning practice in your school. You will also examine the key considerations for monitoring and evaluating the implementation of your DL Plan.
A laptop, desktop pc or tablet* with the latest version of Chrome, Firefox or Safari installed. A good broadband internet connection is essential.
*Most tablet devices work well with our course software but some older devices may not be compatible. Please do not use a smartphone to complete the course.
A course certificate is provided upon completion of this course.
