In terms of school websites being accessible, schools are subject to the ‘Website Accessibility Directive’, The National Disability Authority (NDA) is both the expert organisation and the responsible state authority in this area.

In reviewing their website schools should engage with their website provider to ensure that their school website meets the relevant Web Content Accessibility Guidelines. As stated on the NDA website ‘the best way to make sure that your website is accessible to your customers is to make sure that everything on it has ‘Level AA conformance’ with the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0.’
